J&K: Online Property Returns Portal, Harassing Government Employees: Website Develops Regular Issues, Late OTP Routine

Jammu, 25th January: The latest property declaration system for J&K government employees has turned into a major troublesome affair with frequent snags and late OTPs acting as a spoilsport.

The portal i.e. https://prs.jk.gov.in was intended to facilitate access and tracking of property details of all employees especially when processing due diligence clearances in their favour, in addition assist the Anti-Corruption Office in investigating cases of disproportionate violations. active quickly.

However, while the government employees try to upload the details, the portal keeps developing sudden and unexpected issues. Several employees complain that the portal develops errors all of a sudden when the official spends a considerable amount of time uploading their property details.

Although the expiry time of the OTP is 10 minutes and you should receive it on your registered mobile number and email address, but some reported that sometimes it takes longer to receive the OTP and once entered, the portal simply reveals that the OTP has expired.

Some said they didn’t receive the OTP for hours together.

There is therefore an urgent need for the government to look into the matter and should have established designated help centers to assist the departments in this endeavour.
