Walling Stone

Because of Woodkirk Stone’s handsome appearance, versatility and durability, thousands of m2 of Woodkirk walling stone is supplied every year for use in all types of applications from housing and industrial contracts to prestigious town centre developments.

Over time our stone weathers to the classic buff/brown colour that the quarry is renowned for but when freshly quarried the colours may be more pronounced. The colours generally vary from predominantly brown through to a grey/buff and grey/blue, some stones display swirls and banding. These are natural features of the stone and not defects.

The traditional finishes available range from Machine Pitched, Split Faced, Hand Dressed and Aged Walling. Fully dimensioned Ashlar Walling is also available for those projects requiring a finely balanced texture and honed face.
